On a Monday morning, I was in a rush.
I walked constantly fast, with a bag hanging on my right shoulder and a yellow umbrella in my left hand.
Suddenly, I smelled something familiar. The scent was strong yet comforting. It was in the air wrapping my body as I was being hugged by a loving soul.
I stopped and looked around, searching for a figure who might have just passed by. Nothing, there was no one. I was walking all alone.
I turned back and continued on my way, thinking, “I know this smell.” I smiled as I whispered, “I miss you.”
